In 1992 Allen Pike and Charley Zurian recognized the potential for a fully integrated automotive and product prototyping facility in Southern California that would embrace and develop emerging digital technologies while still honoring traditional design approaches.

With the knowledge and hands-on experience they gained while employed at General Motors Design, they set off to create a company that would merge the roles of a creative think-tank and a technologically advanced prototyping studio. The implementation of new processes, and the fostering of working relationships with developers of new technologies, have been essential to the company's continuing growth. However bold this fully integrated studio is, TFX does not allow new technologies to overshadow the individual artistic skills of its talented craftsmen.

The multi-talented employees at TFX have over 100 years of combined experience in the fields of design, engineering, sculpting, and the visual arts. We pride ourselves in having a broad base of skills that allow for a true cross platform approach to design, and afford us the ability to customize our services. In house management from start to finish assures the shortest possible production times, and an uncompromising focus on quality.

Never conceding to the status quo, Charley strives to bridge the gap between the tangible and the virtual, the layman and the expert, the "what ifs" and the "why nots".

Charley's responsibilities include management of digital data activities, computer-aided design process development, and the allocation of design, engineering and fabrication resources.

Allen Pike
