TFX is experienced in the development of full-size and scale models using Chavant modeling clay, a medium that offers the designer a great deal of flexibility in the design process. The traditional use of clay remains an unsurpassed method of realizing certain surface fidelities in complex surfaces. There has not been developed to date software that can replace the hands and eyes of a skilled clay sculptor when a compound highlighted surface with subtle transitions needs to be developed.

TFX maintains a fully equipped model shop for the generation of complete working stage models for visual effects applications, display models for presentation, and conceptual models for design evaluation. Every model is constructed by skilled model builders to the highest possible level of detail.

Our model builders readily use rapid prototyping equipment and CNC machines that deliver speed and accuracy in the model construction process. TFX has developed proprietary mold making techniques that greatly reduce production turnaround, and reproduce the finest detail.
